Define
The Enneagram is a dynamic personality system that identifies the nine different ‘types’ or lenses of seeing the world. This tool uncovers motivations behind why individuals tend towards certain behaviors and attitudes. Working with the Enneagram can greatly increase self-awareness, understanding and empathy towards others, as well as provides a path to growth for individuals and teams.
As the Enneagram is considered the most ancient typing tool, there are many different teachings, and some differences in theories and even varying names for each number. The more we learn and walk with this tool the more we can learn to remove the blockages and barriers we experience within ourselves and with one another.
A Note for Team and Organization Leaders: Due to its nature of invoking vulnerable conversations, the Enneagram should be used as a tool to help others create their own path to growth, rather than as a diagnostic for hiring, firing, or evaluation.
Test
At Sacred, we have found the Wagner assessment tool ($10) to be the most accurate and thorough. It identifies the test-taker’s core type, wing, and resourcefulness of each category as well as details other high and low percentages for each type. Wagner labels each type by their value (The Good Person, The Loving Person, The Peaceful Person, etc.) rather than by their behavioral characteristic (Artist, Entrepreneur, Skeptic, etc.), which we find empowering and effective in work with individuals and teams. Even if you have taken other Enneagram tests we encourage you to try this version.
Because of the details and thorough nature of this assessment is it most effective when paired with explanation and guidance from a coach. If you are working with Whitney for coaching, workshops, or through your organization, your test fee is included.

The Road Back To You (Ian Cron and Suzanne Stabile) – probably the most popular/loved podcast, based on the book, used by many Christian circles.

The Enneagram Journey (Suzanne Stabile) Great once you understand more of the Enneagram – dives into relationships. I (WW) am currently enjoying this.
